He used to bash Mexico authorities for laxity in allowing drugs from their side of the border to get into USA cities.  The relationship is not that bad despite their proposed meeting between Donald Trump and Mexican president Pena Nieto did not happen because of a phone conversation where Pena declines the offer of the USA for Mexico to be responsible for the charges of building Mexico-USA border. Despite all these bilateral trade between the two nations has thrived and billions of dollars trades have not been affected.  During Trump tour to California, he heaped praises on his Mexican counterpart of the mutual relationship between Mexico and USA and also emphasize how important the cooperation if because of the border security. Trump also said the Mexican people have a great negotiator on the behalf of his people. Also, Donald Trump son-in-law who is a senior advisor to trump visited Mexico City for more bilateral talks with officials from the Mexican government. Also, security cooperation between Mexico and the United States of America is very important because the Mexico border has a major impact on homeland security.

Donald Trump also has emphasized of having a stable Latin America and initiative which is fully supported by the Mexican government too. Mexico and USA hosted a security summit in Miami with an aim of analyzing security concerns in Central America which directly affects security in both the United States and Mexico if not taken care.    Another key partner of USA is Canada in securing itself and also trade between the two economies is important. Donald Trump presidency is dedicated to keeping a healthy relationship with Canada for security cooperation they have been partners for a long period. Another partner of the USA is Israel it is strategically positioned in the middle east.
