Design Sprint: Prototype Phases

What are the Goals of the Prototype Phase?
The goal of prototyping is an evaluation of an idea. The process involves vigorously checking and analyzing the design used to come up with the project. It is the final stage of testing phase the software needs to be well checked before being released to the market for use. The results obtained from the review is used to check earlier problems affecting the process.  During the prototype phase, the designers and software developments check and analyze how the final software will interact with the users.
During the evaluation, if there are problems which arise from the testing of the idea phase. The problem is solved and rolled out again for testing if it fulfills the user requirements. The designers need to test all user functionality of the software and also all the modules of the software.

How to prepare the Prototype Phase?
We start by empathizing which will help in defining the problem. It is an important step in the whole procedure since the problem in the software needs to be identifying before rolling other steps which correct those problems found. After obtaining the problem it is then defined, defining the problem means understanding what caused the problem and also the factors which made the possibility of the problem happening to me again. The next step is to ideate. Which bring us to the place where we need to formulate the ideas. It is the phase where the idea is conceived and marks the birth of it. The next step is a prototype which is a step where the idea conceived is tested and polished to make it functional and better. The prototype phase is now to put the idea into weights to check its feasibility.

There are four concepts involved when preparing these phase. The first one is an idea it is the heartbeat of the whole process, an idea happens in the mind then shared to the sprint team then the team discuss the idea removing any issue which is not in-line with the team’s objectives. Ideas which are not viable are removed from the table. Number two builds the idea developed earlier need to be improved to suit what the team needs before moving to the next step is a vital stage for the idea to pass. Then we launch the idea to be discussed and what is not okay is removed it is a constant process to evaluate if the team is heading in the right way. Then we need to learn how the system works these involves learning how the users will be using it. So that we can teach our users how to use the system to avoid the users from getting stuck.

Who needs to be involved in this prototyping phase?

There are many people who are involved in these prototype phase, they are as follows:-
- System designers
- System developers
- Testers
- Project manager
